Orange San Diego gets Ice Cream Sandwich update

It was couple of days ago only that the first Intel-powered smartphone in the world XOLO X900 started getting Android 4.0 update, and now the second smartphone Orange San Diego is also getting the Ice Cream Sandwich update.

The update is available OTA and is reportedly around 271MB in size.

The update is expected to bring performance improvements, resizable widgets, new UI, improved browser, face unlock and more enhancements to the smartphone.

If you have already updated your Orange San Diego, do let us know about the experience in comments.

most apps are now compatible for example gta 3, temple run ski safari etc. However one app that still isn’t compatible is asphalt 7.

Hi my san deago was updated last night and the new software has a fantastic look about it, way more stylish, they keyboard is has greatly improved and you can put punctuation in without switching from letters to numeric and symbol for things such as !?,:; which is handy, my only problem so far is the time auto adjusted to US time and the auto set time doesn’t seem to recognise my location… the phone does also seem to have improved on speed despite the fact it was already fast, I’m very pleased at the update astetics but I am yet to check out the newer features 🙂

Have you noticed how quick the battery runs down now (took phone off charge and left it along so it was 100% when i went to bed; went to bed just after i unpluged it and by the morning it was down to 60%) and how the sound is dodge when you use the volume rockers to turn up the ringer volume to full and also when you have and EQ turned on, on your music when you turn it up to a certain point it goes really crackley; not just through the phones speakers but through headphones as well. There is another issue when you don’t use your phone for a little while the ram gets used so there is just about no ram space left, i check the running apps and there is about four running but only using around about 5 mg each, of ram so that’s nothing. I don’t know where it is all disappearing to! I know for a fact that it is to do with ics because none of this never happened on gingerbread!
