Zen Mobiles introduces 9-inch ICS tablet UltraTab A900 in India for INR 7,999

After launching a seven-inch tablet in the country, the Indian mobile phone maker Zen Mobiles has announced the launch of a 9-inch Android slate in the country. Dubbed as Zen UltraTab A900, the tablet has been priced at INR 7,999 and will be initially available as an exclusive at online retailer HomeShop18.

The company will later release in open market.

Zen UltraTab A900 is the typical budget tablet that you get these days in India. There are no rocking specs and the only differentiating factor is 9-inch display. The tablet comes with 1.5GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.0, and microSD card slot.

It also supports Wi-Fi connectivity and 3G support via USB dongle. There is no word on the display resolution right now.

Zen has also pre-loaded applications and games like Nimbuzz, Mig 33, ibibo – Teenpatti, Rummy, nexGTV and Bollywood Ji on the tablet.

According to Zen, the user interface is also customised on the tablet to offer better usability. The tablet sports a Live Panel menu, which can be customized to display a variety of content on the home screen including digital pictures, favourite Web sites and social network feeds. In addition, the interface includes an application tray of commonly used features such as task manager, calendar and music player which can be launched while other major applications are also in use, including large file downloads and document editing.

Company’s previous tablet UltraTab A100 is currently being sold at INR 5,999 in the country and comes with a 7-inch display with WVGA resolution, 1.2GHz processor, 1.3MP front camera and 2800 mAh battery.
