Samsung Galaxy S III sales cross 30 million units

Just a day after reporting 3 million sales milestone for Galaxy Note II, Samsung has now announced that it has sold over 30 million Galaxy S III units worldwide.

Samsung Poland informed about the same via a tweet.  The Galaxy S III went on sale in May this year, and this 30 million sales milestone has come in less than six months.

The company has traditionally seen a lot of success with its Galaxy S series of devices, like original Galaxy S and Galaxy S II, so these numbers for Galaxy S III aren’t surprising.

The smartphone had got rave reviews at launch and still is one of the best devices in the market. It features 4.8-inch Super AMOLED HD display, 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM (2GB in some markets), 16/32/64GB of internal storage, 8MP rear camera and front camera.

The smartphone runs on ICS out of the box, but company has already started rolling out Jelly Bean in several countries.
