Samsung Galaxy S3 tops Android related Google searches in 2012


Google has made the Zeitgeist 2012 website live with all the search insights from 2012. According to the search giant, there were over 1.2 trillion searches on Google this year, out of which many were related to Android and general consumer electronics.

We are taking a look at which Android devices ruled the Google search this year globally as well as in India.

As you would expect, Samsung’s Galaxy S3 was the top Android device in Google searches this year followed by Google’s own Nexus 7, Samsung’s Galaxy Note 2 and Amazon’s Kindle Fire.

Here is a full list of top ten Google searches in Consumer Electronics segment:

  1. iPad 3
  2. Samsung Galaxy S3
  3. iPad Mini
  4. Nexus 7
  5. Galaxy Note 2
  6. Play Station
  7. iPad 4
  8. Microsoft Surface
  9. Kindle Fire
  10. Nokia Lumia 920

Coming to India, thanks to $35 Android tablet Aakash, Android made its way to the top ten Google searches. It was the eighth most searched term in India this year, noted Google. Search giant has not revealed the consumer electronics related searches for India.
