We have got the first hint about the market availability of Sony’s much rumoured Xperia Yuga aka Xperia Z today. The smartphone, which is pretty much certain of a CES unveiling, will go on sale in China on January 15.
Sony Xperia Z will be priced at 4,298 CNY ($690 or €520), which seems in line with Sony’s other flagship models. Chinese website ePrice is also reporting that there will be another model Xperia X that will come with same specs as Xperia Z and will be released in some markets in place of Xperia Z. It is similar to what Sony has done with Xperia T and TX.
To remind you, Xperia Z is expected to come with 5-inch 1080p display, 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm processor, 2GB RAM, 12MP rear camera, LTE, NFC, and microSD card support.
With HTC and ZTE already out with their 1080p smartphones and many others waiting to launch, Sony will have a tough task ahead.
