Huawei India has officially launched two new Ascend series smartphones in the country today. Both the Android smartphones have been available in the stores for quite some time. These smartphones are Ascend G600 and Ascend G330 and they have been priced at INR 14,990 and INR 11,990 respectively.
Huawei has started focusing on the Indian market quite a lot in the recent few months and these smartphones are a right step in that direction.
Huawei Ascend G600
Huawei Ascend G600 is a very promising mid-range Android smartphone and comes with features like 4.5-inch qHD IPS display, 1.2GHz processor and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. There is also an 8MP rear camera on-board along with 0.3MP front camera.
According to Huawei, Ascend G600 also packs a 1930 mAh battery, 768MB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage with microSD card support.
On paper, Ascend G600 is certainly a worthy smartphone and given the INR 14,990 price-tag, we would see many takers for this phone. However given the lack of aggressive marketing, Huawei is still a not so command brand associated with smartphone in India.
