Just days ago, Samsung had launched its Galaxy Grand with a dual-core processor in India and now we are seeing the Korean manufacturer announce the same smartphone with a quad-core CPU in its home country.
Company earlier today launched this new variant of Galaxy Grand in South Korea and it will go on sale via the three major telcos in the country – SKT, KT and LG U+. While other specs remain the same, the improved processor will certain be a positive for Korean buyers.
Samsung Galaxy Grand will be sold for around 350000 won ($327 or INR 17,590).

3rd class device.The 480×800 wvga display for a 5 inch screen results in poor ppi and dotted pixels. A 5 inch diplay requires minimum qhd(540×960) or 720p(720×1024).Pay 7k more and buy note2 or s3
@zahid : you are right, multinational companies sells their devices in cheap rate at their hometown or in U.S but when they launched the same device in Asia or specially in india (If they launched. Majority they are not releasing like Nexus devices) than the price is almost double. They just wanted to earn money from here and at the time of update they also provide it late (almost in the last). Still government want this type of companies (Wallmart, etc) to do business over here. so, they can also earn billions of rupees from india and buy some properties at their hometown. I believe indian companies have the potential to make smartphone like this but lack of govt support and benefits they wont make good business like this companies. The time is not far away when majority of indian companies will be in bankruptcy and this multinational companies will make profits.
I Hope an Indian Company will read this and starts to make good devices and just focus on indian markets with good product and features.

This is absolutely true. Indian software companies only involved in making projects and not products. CEO’s and MD’s of the biggest software firm in India have to think about this. When they can take their companies to international level, why they can’t put efforts in Reasearch and Development and manifacture higher end cell phones. Give a try it works.
I really amazed when i see this. There is a lot of features in this phone and the price is low compared with its features.
All of you telling that samsung has cheated the Indians do not go by the facts i think . The price of the Indian version is high because samsung does not import the phone in korea wgereas in India lots of custom duties and taxes are applied so providing the mobile with a quad core processor wuld have simply made more costlier..
