A Korean publication is reporting that Samsung will be announcing its next flagship Galaxy S smartphone at a special Mobile Unpacked Event on March 22, 2013. The event is allegedly happening in US.
While, it fits with the April availability timeline, there is nothing official about it right. The publication adds that this is expected to be the biggest Galaxy series launch till date.
Previous reports have indicated that Samsung Galaxy S IV GT-I9500 is expected to feature a 4.99-inch Super AMOLED 1080p display, Exynos 5 Octa processor, 2GB RAM, 13MP rear camera, wireless charging, NFC and Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean.
Codename Altius, the smartphone will also come with a 2600 mAh removable battery.
With the upcoming HTC M7, Xperia Z smartphones; despite the past success, Samsung will need to get it right with Galaxy S IV if it plans to continue leading the Android universe.
To remind you, while S4 is expected to come in March, Samsung will also be announcing several devices including new Note 8.0 tablet at the next month’s Mobile World Congress. Some reports have also indicated towards the introduction of Galaxy Tab 3 series of slates at the event.
