Alcatel announces One Touch Idol X with Android 4.2, 5-inch FHD display

Alcatel_ONE_TOUCH_IDOL_XEvery other trade event Alcatel announces several new Android devices, but we never see most of these in this part of the world. Recently, Alcatel has decided to re-enter the Indian smartphone market with three launches and we hope that the latest launch reaches our shores as well.

Alcatel has announced a new smartphone in its One Touch series. Dubbed as One Touch Idol X, the smartphone run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, which is the latest version of Android.

Alcatel OT Idol X also features 5-inch 1080p full HD edge-to-edge display, 13MP rear camera (8MP variant too), 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 2000 mAh battery and 7.1mm thick body.

Company will be releasing the phone in variety of colour options like Red, Green, Cyan, Magenta, Black and Yellow. According to Alcatel, OT Idol X will come in both single SIM as well as dual-SIM versions.

Differences between dual-SIM and single SIM versions

Dual-SIM model: 16/32GB internal storage, no microSD card slot

Single-SIM model: 8GB internal storage with microSD card slot

Alcatel has not revealed the pricing or availability details right now.
