LG Hong Kong has revealed on its official Facebook page that the company will be releasing Jelly Bean update to Optimus 4X HD, Optimus L9 and L7 smartphones in the first half of this year. LG Hong Kong has not given any exact time-frame, so we will have to wait and watch.
Also, given the past track record of LG in providing software updates to its Android device, we are not very confident even about the first half schedule.
All three 4X HD, L9 and L7 currently run on Android 4.0 with company’s Optimus UI on top. The Jelly Bean will bring the latest software improvements like Project Butter, UI updates, enhanced notifications, homescreen changes, Google Now and more.
These software updates will most likely be rolled-out via company’s mobile support tool and over-the-air.
There is no still no word on when the company will be releasing Jelly Bean for other smartphones in its Android portfolio.
