It turns out Stream X, which was announced couple of days ago in Japan, is indeed an Ascend P2 variant. Huawei Ascend P2 features a 4.7-inch 1280x720p display, Android 4.1.2 with Emotion UI, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, 13MP rear camera, 1.2MP front camera and 1GB RAM. The phone also packs 16GB of internal storage and the usual connectivity options.
Huawei Ascend P2 will go on sale beginning mid-2013 globally. Looking at these specs, we don’t really see how this can be Huawei’s flagship smartphone for 2013, most of these specs apart from that 13MP rear camera are so-2012.
