Sony to launch Snapdragon 600-powered Xperia A, UL: Report

Sony seems to be readying two new Android smartphones that will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. With its currently flagship running on Snapdragon S4 Pro, these phones seem be company’s flagship devices for the second half of 2013. Reports are also coming in that Sony is also working on a phablet codenamed ‘Togaari’ for this year.

According to Japanese site smasoku.mobi, Sony Xperia A (Dogo) will be released on NTT Docomo in Japan this summer. The phone will come with 4.6-inch display of unknown resolution, 2GB RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and 2300 mAh battery along with already mention Snapdragon 600. Xperia A will be water/ dust resistant and pack IR Blaster.

Xperia UL (Gaga), the second rumoured device, will also come with similar features and 5-inch 1080p display.

The Sony phablet “Togari” will be coming with 6.4-inch 1080p display and is likely to compete with Galaxy Note 3. Other details are unclear about this phone/ tablet hybrid.
