HTC One getting first software update 1.29.401.12 in Europe

HTC has started rolling out the first software update for HTC One unlocked units in Germany. Dubbed as software version 1.29.401.12, the update is around 229MB in size and will soon be released for carrier branded units as well, reports HTC One

This software update for HTC One brings EXIF data error fix along with stability and performance improvements.

Here is the change-log:

  • System optimisations
  • Audio improvements in HTC Zoe and Beats Audio
  • Bluetooth related fixes
  • Issue fix related to back button
  • Weather related fix (not sure for what)
  • Cellular Network related optimisations

The update is being released over-the-air, so HTC One users will get a notification on their smartphone, when the update is ready to be downloaded. Being a large update, it is better to be downloaded using Wi-Fi network, as users might incur significant data charges, if downloaded using cellular data connection.
