LG Optimus G Pro confirmed to launch on May 1 in US

LG has confirmed that it will be launching Optimus G Pro smartphone in the US market on May 1. The company has sent out another invite to the tech press in the country, revealing the phone launch and other details.LG Optimus G Pro US invite

There is no word on which telecom operators in the country will be getting this 5.5-inch phablet that will compete with Samsung’s Galaxy Note II and HTC’s Droid DNA.  USA will be the third country to get the phone; South Korea and Japan are the other two countries.

LG has also revealed at a press event in India today that it will be releasing the Optimus G Pro in the country in June or July for a price-tag of around INR 40,000 ($736).

LG Optimus G Pro features a 1.7GHz Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The phone also packs Android 4.1, 13MP rear camera, front camera and 3,000 mAh battery. Display is 5.5-inch full HD True IPS and the usual connectivity options are also present in the phone.

    Galaxy Note II rip-off. At that price range, galaxy S4 is way better.
