Micromax to launch ultra-cheap Canvas Viva A72 phablet soon

Micromax isn’t just preparing toMicromax A72 Canvas Viva

If you think Micromax A100, A110 or A116 Canvas phones were expensive, the upcoming Canvas Viva A72 is right for you. The phone sports a 5-inch display with WVGA resolution, similar to what A100 Canvas or A110 Canvas 2 phones.

The Canvas Viva also comes with 1GHz single-core processor and 256MB RAM, which makes sense as the company aims to price it around INR 5,000.  The A72 also comes with 2,000 mAh battery, 0.3MP front camera and 3MP rear camera.

On the downside, it runs on outdated Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread, and does not come with 3G connectivity. The Micromax A72 also supports dual-SIM GSM connectivity. You can check out the full set of Micromax A72 Canvas Viva specs later in the post.

In related news, Micromax will also be launching A115 Canvas 3D phone soon, which will join company’s growing Canvas line-up of successful devices.

    android 2.3, no 3G, 5″ WVGA display, single core processor, 256MB ram. will have to be priced below 5k still 256MB ram is a bit too less for WVGA resolution. Nowadays 512MB ram is becoming the de-facto even though missing 3G goes just fine.
