Sony’s just launched Xperia SP phone includes a cool feature for gaming freaks. As per a tweet from Sony’s Tom Randall, Sony has included native DualShock 3 controller support in Xperia SP smartphone. There is no word on whether the feature will be backwards compatible to other Xperia phones.
Apart from Tom’s tweets and a video posted on Youtube, there has been no official announcement from Sony so far, we hope company soon says something.
The retail units of Sony Xperia SP, when it goes on sale around mid-April, are expected to come with the functionality.

Xperia SP smartphone users will be able to sync with the PlayStation 3’s DualShock 3 controller, allowing them to skip the onscreen gamepad in compatible PlayStation Mobile and other Android games. The DualShock 3 controller will require one time set-up using an UTB-OTG cable, however after that it will connect using Bluetooth.
The controller will work with most Android games that include support USB gamepads. Sony’s PlayStation Mobile store and Google Play, both currently have many titles that support physical controllers or gamepads.
Well, who needs OUYA now, if you have a PS3 DualShock 3 controller lying around?
