We are yet to see any Tegra 4 powered products apart from NVIDIA’s own Project Shield, but that seems to be changing today. The first images of rumoured Toshiba tablet AT10LE-A, which is allegedly powered by Tegra 4 quad-core processor, have appeared online.
Posted by Greek website Techblog.gr, these images offer a glimpse of this upcoming Toshiba tablet and its keyboard dock. Packing four A15 cores and 72 GPU cores, Tegra 4 is being touted as the fastest mobile processor by NVIDIA, but whether these claims are indeed true or not, we will know once this or any other Tegra 4 powered products hits market.
NVIDIA isn’t really having a great time right now, there are no Tegra 4 products in the market, while Qualcomm continues to be present in almost every flagship smartphone and it also rumoured to be a part of next generation 7-inch Nexus 7 tablet.
Previous reports had suggested that Toshiba is going to be the first company to release a Tegra 4 powered product in the market and if these leaked images are indeed authentic, the company seems to be on-track.
Not much is known about Toshiba AT10LE-A right now, but as you can see in one of the image, it is running on Android 4.2.1, which is a good thing, at least it has almost latest Android version (which most probably will become older by the time the tablet reaches markets, given the alleged debut on Android 4.3 at Google I/O). Also, as we can see in these images, the display seems to be 10-inch and we can also spot the microSD card slot, HDMI out, MicroUSB port and 3.5mm audio jack in one of other images. Toshiba also seems to be using a pretty stock build of Android 4.2 on the tablet, as no manufacturer customisation is visible, but that can change.
