Samsung buys 10pc stake in Pantech for $48 million

Samsung has bought 10 percent stake in its South Korean rival smartphone maker Pantech. The company is investing 53 billion won ($48 million) and it is expected to help both the companies in bilateral cooperation in smartphones and other business areas. The companies already have strong ties in semiconductor and display businesses.

With this deal, Samsung will emerge as the third largest stake holder in Pantech, which is also the third largest mobile phone maker in South Korea. Other two major stock holders are Qualcomm and Korea development bank.

Pantech currently sells its smartphones mainly in South Korea, however some of its budget offerings can also be founded retailing on US telecom operators.

Samsung Galaxy S4 Brown variant spotted in promo video

A new Brown colour variant of the Samsung’s Galaxy S4 smartphone has been spotted recently in a promo video. Along with Brown colour, the Blue colour version of the phone, which was Samsung Galaxy S4 Brown

To remind you, Samsung currently sells Black Mist and White Frost colours of the phones internationally apart from the Blue Arctic colour in Japan.
