Sony Xperia ZR might not be released in UK, France and Germany

Xperia_ZR_mainReports are coming in from Europe that Sony’s just announced rugged Xperia ZR might not be released in countries like UK, France and Germany. When Sony unveiled Xperia ZR yesterday, it was not specific about the regional launch details, which is normal, as the companies tend to leave this part to the regional arms.

Although the UK and Germany offices of Sony are yet to officially issue any statement about the Xperia ZR availability, Sony France has taken to Twitter to reveal that Xperia ZR will not be released in France.

UK retailer Clove is also reporting that Xperia ZR won’t be reaching UK. Similarly, Xperia Blog is claiming that Germany is also the unlucky one and won’t be seeing the Xperia ZR launch, but the blog has not mentioned any source. We will still like to wait for the official statement from UK and Germany for the final confirmation.

To remind you, the dust-resistant as well as waterproof Xperia ZR is IP55 and IP58 compliant and can be kept submerged in 1.5 meters of fresh water for up to 30 minutes. It features Android 4.1, 4.6-inch 720p HD Reality display, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor and LTE connectivity.
