Micromax teases Canvas 4, its upcoming Android flagship

After Micromax Canvas 4

According to Micromax, the pre-bookings for Canvas 4 will open on June 28, suggesting the phone will be available sometime in July.

There is no word on the detailed specifications of Micromax Canvas 4 right now, but the company did reveal the presence of 13MP rear camera in one of the following teaser videos.

We think the phone will be packing a full HD display, quad-core processor, Android 4.2, 1GB of RAM, 8 or 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2 or 3MP front camera. It is likely to compete with Lemon’s recently released A4 smartphone.Micromax Canvas 4

It should have mtk6589T(tubo version which is recently lauched)rather than mtk6589 which is currently using by all mediatek quad core.Becouse it is sure that this phone will have full HD screen(1980×1080, not the current 1080×720), mtk6589 gives very low frame rate on full hd screen approx. 22-28. Price of this phone should not be greater than 17k

Micromax wants to create some kind of Guinness record, launching sequels to phones in just 3-4 months. They launched canvas 2(nov-dec 2012), canvas 3(feb 13), canvas 4(june 13), 3 phones and sequels in a gap of just 6 months, mere stupidity, people who bought the canvas HD will be kicking themselves now with canvas 4 lauching just a 3 months later. Unlike samsung phones S1, S2, S3, S4, etc. which launch only once in a year.

@rugglez:disqus You really can’t say that. Though MMX has released phone quickly, they have been released at different price points. It is only because of their Canvas 2, that people believed in buying Canvas 3. Canvas 2 today is selling for around 9K, while Canvas 2 Plus for around 11K, Canvas 3 around 12.5K, so obviously Canvas 4 will start from 17K and will land up to around 14-15K in another 2-3 months. They have now a full range of their products going upto 15K. Which gives the buyer confidence to invest in their future phones (which may go upto 20K). No one could think of buying a phone from MMX for 20K a year back. I would say it is a damn good staretegy.
