Samsung announces Galaxy Ace 3 with dual-core CPU & 4-inch display

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3Korean manufacturer Samsung today announced its new Galaxy Ace 3 mid-range Android smartphone. Set to become available in the coming months, Galaxy Ace 3 will succeed the company’s previously launched Galaxy Ace 2 smartphone.

According to a press release issued by the company, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 will be sold in both 3G and LTE versions. Samsung seems to be aiming at the LG’s affordable F-series LTE smartphones with the LTE version of Galaxy Ace 3.

“Building on the success of the previous GALAXY Ace series, the GALAXY Ace 3 brings users powerful performance with a dual core processor built to perform data-intensive tasks faster and more efficiently than its predecessor,” Samsung noted in a press release.

Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 packs Android 4.2, 4-inch WVGA display, 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of on-board storage and 1500 mAh battery. Apart from the battery, which is a low from current smartphone standards, everything else seems decent for a mid-range offering. The LTE version of the phone has slightly better specifications – it will come with 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 8GB of on-board storage and 1800 mAh battery. Other specs remain same in both LTE and 3G versions.

On the software front, Samsung has loaded features like Sound & Shot, Best Photo, Buddy Photo, S Translator, S Travel, Smart Stay, S Voice, and Easy Mode on the smartphone.

Samsung also added that it will be releasing a dual-SIM 3G variant of the phone in select markets.Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 Specifications
