Packs 4.3-inch display and 1.2GHz dual-core processor
Samsung’s mid-range Android smartphone Galaxy Core duos is now available in the Indian market. The phone can be purchased from online retailer Infibeam for INR 15,199.
Originally announced last month, Samsung Galaxy Core duos features a 4.3-inch TFT LCD with WVGA resolution, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM and Android 4.1. Other specs of the phone include 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, dual-SIM support, 1800mAh battery and 8GB of internal storage.
On the software front, the phone packs features like Smart Stay, Smart Alert, S Voice and ChatOn messenger.
The pricing seems to be decent but we would have liked if the phone was retailing around INR 13-14K, but it will reach that pricing in the coming weeks.
Should you buy it?
Probably, but only after careful consideration as the phone does not even support 720p video recording. Samsung has not revealed the exact SoC inside the phone, but the phone seems to pack a Cortex A5 processor, thus the limited video recording capability. Other features are decent and they shouldn’t be any issue in the performance of the phone.
