Samsung India today announced the launch of its mid-range Android phone Galaxy Core in the country. Priced at INR 15,690, the phone is already available in the stores.
“Galaxy Core is designed especially to provide a power packed experience to the users by combining dual core processing power, compact design, and Dual SIM technology all into one device. The device is also loaded with various smart features that provide the users with advanced tools that continue to set the GALAXY series apart,” said Vineet Taneja, Country Head, Samsung Mobile.
Powered by 1.2GHz dual-core processor, Samsung Galaxy Core comes with 4.3-inch TFT display with WVGA resolution, 1GB of RAM and Android 4.1. In addition, the phone also features 5MP rear camera, VGA front camera, dual-SIM support and 1800 mAh battery.
According to Samsung, Galaxy Core comes with a Digital Wallet of INR 5000 valid for 90 days applicable on Games. To avail the offer the user has to SMS ‘MyOffer’ to 56886, Get a D/L link for myServices App and launch the application. Additionally, Samsung is also offering free bundled data for Vodafone and Idea users. Vodafone users, on purchase of the device, will get 1GB data free per month for 2 months till 30th September 2013 (applicable for 2G subscribers on Vodafone 2G/3G/EGDE). Idea users, on purchase of the device, will get 500MB data free per month for 2 months till 31st October 2013 (applicable on Idea 2G/3G/EGDE).
