Toshiba announces new Excite Android tablets with high-res display & Tegra 4

Available beginning June 25 in United States

Toshiba has announced three new Excite-series Android tablets earlier today. These 10.1-inch tablets are powered by NVIDIA processors and run on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. Targeting a different consumer segment with each tablet, Toshiba seems to have the right combination of features and pricing this time around, however we will reserve our verdict until the first reviews are in.

The newly introduced Excite series tablets include Excite Pro, Excite Write and Excite Pure with Excite Write being the flagship model.

“With more and more consumers adopting tablets as their go-to devices for entertainment and travel, we wanted to push the boundaries even further and equip our new Excite tablets with the technology and features needed to maximize the potential of these devices,” said Carl Pinto , vice president of marketing, Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., Digital Products Division.
