LG confirmed to launch G2 on August 7

After a fortnight of LG August 7 Press event

A successor to LG’s Optimus G, G2 is known to be packing Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor as was announced by the company last month.

There are no other confirmed details right now but as per previous rumours and leaks, LG G2 will be dropping the Optimus branding. The phone will pack a 5.2-inch 1080p display alongside 2 or 3GB of RAM, 13MP rear camera, 2.1MP front camera, Android 4.2 and LTE-Advanced support.

LG has also released a video teaser for the event but it does not reveal anything and has been made to generate a little buzz about the upcoming launch. Check it out below.
