Moto X launch scheduled for Aug 1, specs leaked again

Moto XMotorola’s much awaited and hyped Android smartphone Moto X is launching on August 1. The company late Friday sent out invites to the tech press in the United States for a press event, which will be held in New York City.

You can see the invite above; also, the woman on the left seems to be holding Moto X.

Being assembled in the US itself, Moto X is the first device to be launched, which has been made with involvement from Google after the search giant acquired Motorola Mobility in 2011.

We have already seen a slew of leaks about Moto X and a lot of details are already known. The latest leak from The Verge confirms some of these already leaked details.

According to a report from the publication, someone with access to CDMA version of Moto X has told them that Moto X features around 4.5-inch display (it is 4.4-inch as per earlier leaks), 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon MSM8960T processor and 2GB of RAM.

The phone also reportedly comes with a removable Kevlar back and runs on Android 4.2.2. The software customisations that we saw in the recent Rogers video leak have also been confirmed.
