Moto X might be priced at $299, software features leaked


Motorola’s upcoming Moto X will indeed be an affordable smartphone. According to a report in Moto X White

The publication cites some sources based in China for this piece of information. At $299, Moto X will be priced same Nexus 4 and given the similar features it makes sense.

Phonearena also speculates that the Moto X might be sold at 299 and 349 euros in Europe for the 16GB and 32GB version respectively.

The phone is scheduled to be launched on August 1 in US, where it will be sold on three major telecom operators – AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

To remind you, the phone packs a 10MP rear camera, 720p display, 1.7GHz dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM and 2250 mAh battery.

Moto X software features leaked

In a separate leak, the software features present in Moto X smartphone have been leaked online. According to Android Police, Moto X will come with Motorola Assist, Active Display, Touchless Control, Motorola Migrate, Quick Capture and Motorola Device ID.

We have already seen a few of these features in the new Droid smartphones that were announced yesterday, while other features are expected to be new. Here is a look at some of these features and what they will do.

Motorola Assist: It changes your phone’s settings depending on your custom triggers like whether you’re at home or work, or the time of day.

Touchless control: Similar to Droid smartphones, new Moto X will also be listening to voice commands and you can tell to do things by just saying Ok Google Now.

Motorola Migrate: Like the name suggests, it helps in transferring your stuff like messages and contacts to Moto X from your old smartphone.

Device ID: It helps in tracking a lost phone.

      A capable LTE smart phone for 300$ is a huge, huge thing to bring to the table
