CyanogenMod team has announced that the first RC build of their last CM 10.1 branch release 10.1.3 is now available for download. Users running on CM 10.1 based builds can now download it using CM Updater or from get.cm and install on their devices.
“With our focus shifting to CM 10.2 we mentioned that we would part ways with CM 10.1?s code branch via a final 10.1.3 release. The code in CM 10.1.2 was frozen in May, and since then we have included numerous bug fixes, features, and even devices. Today, we are starting the Release Candidate phase for CyanogenMod 10.1.3, based on Android 4.2.2,” CM team noted in a blog post.
CM 10.1.3 RC1 includes Privacy Guard functionality and SELinux (permissive mode), which were not available in stable builds until now. Depending on the bugs, CM team will release one or two more release candidates of CM 10.1.3 before the stable version and then it plans shelve the 10.1 code and work only on CM 10.2.
Note: If you have Android 4.3-based CM 10.2 builds on your device, it is important to wipe data and all before switching back to CM 10.1.3 RC1.
