Sony is going to launch its Xperia Z1 aka Honami smartphone on September 18 in the Indian market, reports BGR India. The blog claims to have learnt this from sources that have also revealed that phone might get a price-tag close to INR 50,000 in the country.
There is no way to verify these claims but 50K pricing sounds a little too much even though rupee is falling like anything these days. We anticipate a price-tag close to INR 45-46,000.
Xperia Z1 (which could also be called i1) is rumoured to arrive with full HD display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 20MP rear camera with G lens and BIONZ image processing engine.
The phone is going to be unveiled at a press event on September 4 in Berlin and the company has been teasing it all over its social media channel. It also posted a video teaser of the phone today on Youtube, which shows the phone from various angles (if not in full detail).
In related news, BGR India also notes that Sony’s recently leaked lens cameras will be dubbed as ExpressOn.
