Korean manufacturer LG jumped back in the tablet market with the announcement of its LG G Pad 8.3 Android tablet earlier today. This is the first tablet to be unveiled by the company since the launch of LG Optimus Pad in February 2011.
“Complementing our G Series smartphones, the introduction of the LG G Pad 8.3 further strengthens LG’s premium lineup consisting of our most cutting-edge devices,” said Dr. Jong-seok Park, president and CEO of the LG Electronics Mobile Communications Company. “Our G Pad is just another example of LG delivering devices with the unique selling points consumers around the world will appreciate.”
LG G Pad 8.3 features 8.3-inch 1920x1200p resolution display with 273PPI and is powered by 1.7GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor. In addition, the tablet comes with 2GB of RAM, 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, Android 4.2.2 and 4600 mAh battery.
LG has revealed a QPair app that comes pre-loaded with LG G Pad 8.3. This app allows your smartphones (from any manufacturer) to connect seamlessly with the tablet to sync messages, calls or even notes created by QMemo on both the devices. Other software customisations present on the tablet include Slide Aside, QSlide and KnockON.
According to a press release issued by the company, LG G Pad 8.3 will go on sale in all major market around the world beginning Q4, 2013.Pricing will be announced on a later date. Here is the recap of LG G Pad 8.3 key specifications.
