Sony has announced a new variant of its Xperia Tablet Z in the form of Xperia Tablet Z: Kitchen Edition, which is being targeted to chefs and cooking enthusiasts. The tablet is now on sale in the United States for $649 but there is no word on the release elsewhere.
From what the company has shared with us, the only differences between the regular Xperia Tablet Z and Kitchen Edition are on the software level and then there are the new kitchen-focused accessories.

Some of the pre-loaded apps include BigOven, Evernote Food, Juicing Recipes, Food Planner Pro, iGrill Pro, and Out of Milk Shopping List. The tablet will also come with 260 preloaded classic recipes from around the world and how-to video series provided by Saveur magazine.
To remind you, Xperia Tablet Z: Kitchen Edition like the regular version comes with 10.1-inch 1920x1200p resolution display, 2GB of RAM, Android 4.1, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 Pro quad-core processor, 32GB of storage, microSD card slot and dust/ water resistance.
