This is a $6,630 Android phone from Vertu

Premium smartphone marker Vertu has announced its second Android phone – Constellation. The phone, which joins the company’s already available TI, will be sold for a whopping €4,900 (about $6,630). The pricing isn’t really surprising considering this is how Vertu prices its phones. The phones are meant for uber-rich, who like showing off their wealth.Vertu Constellation

Vertu Constellation comes with a Grade 5 titanium body with calf leather wrapping and sapphire glass front. This offering from Vertu is quite different from TI, as there is no bundled 24×7 concierge service with Constellation.

“You want the full monty, concierge? You go for the Ti. You want a more easy approach, still belong to the group with privileged access, sleekier design, more unisex? You go for the Constellation,” Vertu CEO Massimiliano Pogliani told Engadget.

The phone will be sold in dark brown, orange, black, light brown and cherry colours. On the specs front, the phone packs Android 4.2, 4.3-inch 720p display, 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 processor, 13MP rear camera, 1.3MP front shooter and 1,800mAh battery. In addition, Vertu Constellation comes with NFC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 32GB of built-in storage.

Wondering about availability, Constellation will be available in select Vertu boutiques starting this month.
