HTC officially launches Desire 500 in India for INR 21,490

Days after we reported that HTC Desire 500 is available in India, HTC has finally decided to make it official. The company today sent out a press note confirming the arrival of its dual-SIM smartphone Desire 500 in the country for a price-tag of INR 21,490 (the MRP is 22,290).HTC Desire 500

“The Desire range has become renowned for bringing a premium mobile experience to the mass market. This particular model, the Desire 500, is no different. It is perfect for people who are always-on-the-go, it enables powerful multitasking and live-streaming of important and interesting information, and it boasts an excellent camera and that bring your important moments to life,” said Faisal Siddiqui Country Head HTC India.

To remind you, HTC Desire 500 features a 4.3-inch WVGA display and is powered by 1.2GHz quad-core Snapdragon 200 processor. It runs on Android 4.2 with Sense 5.0 and comes with 1GB of RAM, 1800 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera and 4GB of on-board storage with microSD card slot.

    Too high a price for the specs..I would rather buy a Nexus 4 for a few more bucks.
