Micromax to launch 5-inch Canvas Magnus A117 in India soon

In addition to the previously rumoured A250 Canvas Turbo, Micromax is also planning to launch another 5-inch Android smartphone in the country. Dubbed as Micromax Canvas Magnus A117, the phone will be released in the coming weeks. A press render of the phone has been leaked today along with the key specifications.Micromax Canvas Magnus A117

According to MMXNewscaster, the specifications of A117 won’t be much different from already available Canvas 4 apart from an upgraded processor and slightly downgraded rear camera at 12MP.

The phone will feature 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor, 5-inch 720p HD display, 1GB of RAM, dual-SIM support, 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, Android 4.2 and 2000 mAh battery. Micromax Canvas Magnus will also come with 5MP front camera and already mentioned 12MP rear camera.

The company has already started importing the smartphone from its Chinese partners and over 3,000 units have reached the country. As soon as rest of the shipment lands in India, it will be released in the retail stores and online.

Micromax A117 Canvas Magnus is expected to be priced lower than A210 Canvas 4 as the latter hasn’t been a success for the company and Micromax is planning to rectify that with Canvas Magnus. We are expecting a price-tag around INR 16-17,000.

Similar looking devices. I wonder if at some stage, Micromax itself will start getting confused with these launches.

      Fixed 😀
