Micromax’s first full HD smartphone Canvas Turbo A250 coming soon

Micromax is reportedly planning to launch its first full HD smartphone in the coming weeks. According to Twitter user Micromax A250 Canvas Turbo

In other details, Canvas Turbo will also pack a quad-core processor, probably made from MediaTek. Remaining specifications are a mystery right now but if we were to guess, you can expect to see Android 4.3, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, 13MP rear camera, front camera, microSD card slot, dual-SIM support and the usual set of connectivity options.

The pricing is also unclear at this moment but it would probably be over INR 20,000.

In related news, Micromax is also readying Android 4.3 updates for at least three of its smartphones – Canvas Doodle 2, Canvas 4 and Canvas HD. There is no word on when the roll-out will begin but the updates should be coming around the launch of A250 Canvas Turbo.

I find it incomprehensible as to why someone would even consider buying a MMX at those astronomical prices if the pricing does indeed turn out to be that high – which btw, I highly doubt!

At that kinda’ dough, you can easily get an Xperia SP or if you want a 5 incher – the Xperia C. Spend a few bucks extra and you get the Galaxy S3! If size does matter that much, you can always get the Mega 5.8 for around 22K.

So yeah, unless this thing is an out and out replacement for the highly underwhelming Canvas 4, I think Micromax has a problem on their hands. In any case, this is what the Canvas 4 should have been anyways in the first place!
