Ex-Oppo exec founds new firm to make a “perfect” smartphone
Chinese smartphone maker Oppo has confirmed on Twitter that its upcoming flagship smartphone Find 7 will come with QHD (2K display | 2560x1440p) display. With Galaxy S5 also rumoured to feature the same resolution display, looks like we are going to see quite a few smartphones with QHD display next year.

No other details are available at this point but rumours suggest that that the Oppo Find 7 will come with Snapdragon 805 SoC and 3GB of RAM, again some really impressive specifications. The exact display size remains in question, however an Oppo exec has already stated that the phone will not have 5.7-inch or even 7-inch display.
In related news, Oppo’s former VP Pete Lau has announced his new venture – OnePlus (a smartphone maker). Lau aims to make the perfect smartphone under the OnePlus brand but has not revealed any other details at this point.
“We believe in a world where product comes first, and everything else is secondary. We don’t accept the excuse that you can’t create a perfect phone at a disruptive price. We’re doing this right,” OnePlus notes on its homepage.
