Huawei has introduced the new Ascend Mate II 4G smartphone at CES 2014. Featuring a 6.1-inch 720p HD display, the phone will succeed the company’s original Ascend Mate smartphone.
“With HUAWEI Ascend Mate2 4G, we are bringing the benefits and convenience of superfast connectivity to people everywhere. HUAWEI Ascend Mate2 4G is power-packed for the mobile generation who want non-stop entertainment on the go, such as the ability to snap and download photo albums in seconds or use their smartphone as their mobile office,” said Colin Giles, Executive Vice President, Huawei Consumer Business Group.
Huawei Ascend Mate II 4G packs 1.6GHz quad-core processor (Snapdragon MS8928 or HiSilicon depending on the market), 4050 mAH battery, 13MP rear camera, and 5MP front camera. In addition, the phone includes Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot and Android 4.3 with Emotion UI 2.0. Like its predecessor, Ascend Mate II 4G can be used to charge other smartphones.
There is no word on the availability or pricing right now however Huawei has confirmed that the phone will be arriving in the United States, which is not often the case with most Huawei devices.
