Huawei has announced a new mid-range Android smartphone in the Chinese market. Dubbed as B199, the phone has been priced at 1999 yuan ($330) and will be available starting January 20.
Huawei B199 features 5.5-inch 720p HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage , microSD card slot, and dual-SIM support. The phone is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor and packs 3,000mAh battery, 13MP rear camera, 5MP front camera and the usual set of connectivity options.
According to Huawei, the battery on-board B199 can be used to charge other smartphones like Ascend Mate or Ascend Mate 2.
There is no word on the availability outside China right now but we wouldn’t be surprised to see the phone reach markets like India or other emerging countries.
