Moto G India launch reportedly set for Jan last week

Moto GAccording to Times of India’s Javed Anwar, who talked to Steve Sinclair, vice president of global marketing at Motorola Mobility on the side-lines of CES 2014, Moto G will be launched in India in the last week of January.

“Right now our plan is to announce Moto G in India with a partner in the last week of January,” said Steve Sinclair. There is no word on the final pricing right now but it is expected to be around INR 13-14,000 for the single-SIM 8GB model.

The statement of Sinclair is in line with what had appeared on Motorola Facebook page few days ago, however the exact date is yet to be set, indicated the company on Twitter in a few replies to consumers.

Motorola had initially said that it will bring Moto G in India in the month of January but after reports of the delay in the launch, which reportedly was set for early-Jan, appeared; consumers have started getting anxious.  Even Motorola’s Punit Soni stated on Google+ in a reply to a consumer recently that January hasn’t yet ended, so he should have patience.

We are keeping an eye on all the developments and will let you guys know as soon as something concrete about the availability date appears.
