Looks like Nokia’s rumoured Android smartphone ‘Normandy’ isn’t disappearing anytime soon. An image of the Normandy engineering prototype leaked on the Chinese social network Weibo over the weekend.

There are no new details but the prototype despite hidden in a protective casing bears resemblance to the previously leaked press renders.
According to previous reports, Nokia Normandy (codename) runs on a forked version of Android and will be a budget smartphone. Despite the impending finalisation of Microsoft acquisition, the phone hasn’t been killed and is reportedly still in development.
Few rumours suggest that Nokia might announce Normandy as early as next month but we are yet to get any official word. The specifications of the phone are still a mystery but the leaked images indicate a screen-size around 4-inches.
