Gionee launches M2 and GPad G4 smartphones in India

Gionee GPad G4 and M2Chinese smartphone vendor Gionee has announced the launch of two new Android smartphones in the Indian market today. Dubbed as Gionee M2 and Gionee GPad G4, the smartphones have been priced at INR 10,999 and INR 18,999 respectively.

As per a press release issued by the company, Gionee M2 features a 5-inch FWVGA display, Android 4.2, and 1.3GHz quad-core processor. It also packs dual-SIM support, 8MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

In addition, the phone comes with 4200 mAh battery and the connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth. Gionee M2 will be competing with the likes of Micromax Canvas Power, which too comes with a similarly huge battery.

Coming to Gionne GPad G4, the smartphone features a 5.7-inch 1280x720p HD display, 1.5GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 and 13MP rear camera. The phone packs 5MP front camera, 1GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. Gionee has included 3200 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and the same connectivity options like M2.

Gionee is putting the device against the likes of Micromax Canvas Doodle 2, XOLO Q2000, LG G Pro Lite and Lenovo A850.

According to Gionee, M2 is already available in the country in Black and White colour options and GPad G4 is being sold in Graphite Black and Silver metallic colours.
