HTC has started sending out invites for press events in London and New York, where it will be unveiling the successor to HTC One smartphone. The smartphone will simultaneously be announced in both cities on March 25, 2014.
Codenamed M8, the HTC One successor is rumoured to come with 5-inch full HD display, Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM and Android 4.4 with Sense 6.0. The phone will also reportedly come with twin Ultrapixel cameras on the back and 5MP front camera.
As per the leaked images, HTC is keeping a design very similar to HTC One in its successor.
With Samsung Galaxy S5 being announced on Feb 24 itself, HTC will need to make One successor available immediately after the announcement else they will lose whatever chance they might have of taking on the Samsung flagship.
HTC M8 is going to be a very key phone in deciding HTC’s future, the company is struggling and hasn’t seen a success in a long time now.
