Lava IRIS 404e and 408e smartphones go on sale, priced under INR 5K

Lava has released two IRIS-series smartphones in the country. Dubbed as IRIS 404e and 408e, the Android phones are now on sale at online retailers. Featuring just 2G connectivity on-board, the smartphones are meant for first time smartphone buyers with budget constraints.Lava IRIS 404e and IRIS 408e

Coming to the phones, Lava IRIS 404e features Android 4.2, dual-SIM support and 4-inch display. The phone also includes 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 2MP rear camera and 0.3MP front camera. In addition, the 404e packs 1400 mAh battery, 1GB of on-board storage, 256MB of RAM and microSD card slot.

On the other hand, Lava IRIS 408e smartphone runs on Gingerbread and comes with 1500 mAh battery, 4-inch display and 1GHz processor. The smartphone includes a 3MP rear shooter, VGA front camera, 256MB of RAM, 512MB of internal storage and microSD card slot.

Pricing and availability

Lava has priced IRIS 408e at INR 4,999, however it can be grabbed for as low as INR 3,829 at Saholic.com. IRIS 404e on the other hand is retailing for INR 4,899 at Flipkart.com.
