Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo to go on sale next week in India for INR 19,010

Samsung is ready to release its Galaxy Grand Neo smartphone in the Indian market next week. The phone has already started reaching retailers and you will be able to grab it from your nearby brick and mortar store or online.

According to Mumbai-based retailer Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo

To remind you, Samsung Galaxy Grand Neo went on sale last month in Netherlands. It features a 5.01-inch WVGA display, 1GB of RAM and 1.2GHz quad-core processor. The phone also comes with 16GB of storage, Android 4.2, 2100 mAh battery and 5MP rear camera.

In addition, Grand Neo GT-I9060 packs VGA front camera, microSD card slot and connectivity options like 3G, Wi-Fi b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 LE as well as GPS and Glonass.

The company is assembling the phone in India itself at its Noida facility, where it also assembles other smartphones including Galaxy S4.

India is World’s fastest growing smartphone market

In related news, research firm Gartner is reporting that with a 166.8 percent increase in the fourth quarter of 2013, India exhibited the highest smartphone sales growth among the countries tracked by Gartner.  Along with home-grown vendors, Samsung continues to be the key driver in the smartphone uptake in the country.

    samsung failed. failed BIG.
most people will immediately compare it with Moto G (that part is basically inevitable :p )
still WVGA display, Android 4.2 at 19k, 2014. This is absolute ridiculous.

You can say that again. The only reason to go for that ahead of the
MG would be the larger screen, but then again that is neither an
acceptable ppi for the price, nor is that aspect ratio pleasant to use
      in large screened devices.

All large screen devices should be 16:9. Looks better and certainly feels better in you hands.

And that pricing in any case is just totally out of whack. But knowing
my fellow countrymen, Samsung will find enough suckers to buy that thing of theirs’.
