Remember the Sony Castor (codename) tablet, which is rumoured to arrive at Mobile World Congress 2014 later this month, well it will be called Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet, revealed @evleaks on Monday.
Update: A press render of the tablet has also been leaked by @evleaks.
According to @evleaks, Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet will feature 2.3GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, 10.1-inch 1920x1200p Triluminos display and 3GB of RAM. The tablet will also pack 16GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. In addition, Sony has included 6000 mAH battery and Android 4.4 on the device. It will be just 6.4mm thick and waterproof, added @evleaks.
As you can see, there are incremental updates from the last-gen and nothing earth-shattering but still the tablet seems decent on paper. What is really interesting that the Xperia Z2 Tablet is even thinner than the Xperia Tablet Z, which itself was one of the thinnest tablets in the world.
With the Sony’s MWC press event just days away, we won’t have to wait for long to get a confirmation on these details and get information on the availability.
In related news, Sony is also expected to release Sony Sirius (Xperia Z2) at the event along with Xperia G, which is a mid-range Android smartphone. So, overall Sony’s MWC line-up seems pretty decent, a flagship smartphone, a tablet and a mid-range smartphone.
