HTC Desire 310
Update: HTC has now officially announced the launch of Desire 300 in the Indian market. The phone has been priced at INR 11,700 (MOP), however it can be grabbed for as low as INR 11,350 from various e-retailers.

“Everybody today wants a smartphone that can keep up with them, regardless of whether it is a flagship or entry-level model. The latest addition to our renowned Desire range combines super-fast processing and premium features at a lower price, offering users the best possible experience in this category ” said Faisal Siddiqui, Country Head, HTC India.

Earlier: HTC has silently started selling the new Desire 310 budget Android smartphone in the Indian market. The phone is now available at Snapdeal and The Mobile Store retailers with a price-tag of INR 11,350.

Originally introduced earlier this month, HTC Desire 310 features a 4.5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.2 and 512MB of RAM. The phone also packs 4GB of internal storage, microSD card slot, 2000 mAh battery and 3G support.

In addition, HTC has included 5MP rear camera and VGA front camera on the smartphone.

HTC is only retailing the Desire 310 in White and Black colour options right now but Red and Blue variants are also expected in the coming weeks.

The phone will be competing with Motorola’s Moto G in the market, which is the current darling of the budget smartphone buyers, thanks to the aggressive pricing and great specifications. HTC Desire 310 clearly falls behind Moto G in almost every feature and the only positive seems to be the microSD card slot. Unless, you have budget constraints, I would suggest you to spend a little more and go with Moto G.

Here is a quick specs comparison of the two phones:

  1. Yet another phone from htc with too much desire for money and little sense in pricing… Looks like htc will NEVER learn…

    1. I think its not a bad pricing for this phone. It has good camera, audio, looks, ui and a decent processor. Ram is less but from a good brand you can expect only this for the 11k price. I feel its a good move by HTC.

I expected it to be priced around 15-16k based on their pricing history but this came as a surprise..

      1. Check the video of this model in use. It sucks big time, I wouldn’t take this phone even if given for free. It’ll make your life miserable (than my 4 years old Galaxy S CM11)

  2. Anyone who read this and thought of buying this phone, please check this video out – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1LJlDYm5_g
I never imaged HTC would do such injustice to its customers. People who use this phone will surely get frustrated.
Even a 6K Micromax / Karbonn mobile will have a better optimized firmware.

@Gaurav – Thanks for mentioning that Moto G is a better buy. But, if u know something is very bad (like this one), please mention to your readers not go anywhere near it. Many people’s hard earned money will be saved.
