Unveils Funbook Mini P410i tablet and A090 smartphone
Micromax has announced that it has partnered with chip-maker MediaTek and telecom operator Aircel to provide bundled offers with select upcoming Android devices powered by MediaTek processors.
“Our focus is now to provide seamless solutions to the consumers using their smart devices, thereby concentrating a large chunk of our efforts on coming up with products and services which act as solutions to the needs of the fast-evolving consumers. This partnership exemplifies the same endeavor,” said Vikas Jain, co-founder, Micromax, describing the partnership.
According to Micromax, these devices are Funbook Mini P410i tablet and Micromax A090 smartphone. The new Funbook Mini P410i features 7-inch display with 1024x600p resolution, dual-SIM support, 1.2GHz MediaTek MT8377 processor, 1GB of RAM and 5MP rear camera. The tablet will go on sale next month but there is no word on pricing right now. Specifications of A090 smartphone are a mystery at this point.
Coming to the bundled data offers, Aircel will be providing 1GB free data, access to Popcorn TV app, 1.2paisa per 2 sec local calling and 1.2 paisa per sec STD calling and free WAP content for three months.
