Moto G at FlipkartAfter over twenty days of stock crisis, the Indian consumers can now order Motorola’s most successful smartphone till date – ‘Moto G’ and get it within the normal shipping time. Flipkart is even suggesting that it will be able to honour the one-day shipping for the smartphone.

In case, you were waiting for the end of Moto G stock crisis to place your orders, it is time.

To remind you, Moto G went on sale on the 6th of February, 2014 and was quickly sold out. Following which, Flipkart had started taking bookings for the smartphone with a longer shipping time of 10-20 days. But, it seems Flipkart has shipped all the existing orders and ready to start shipping the future orders in the normal shipping time.

A successful launch for Motorola

As per the import data, Flipkart imported around 142,000 units of the Moto G during the month of the February. To put this number in perspective, Samsung had imported around 170,000 units of Galaxy S4 in the first 30 days of S4 sales. This clearly shows that despite the exclusive sales model taken by Motorola in India, the Moto G has been very popular and quite successful.

Originally announced in November last year, Moto G comes with 4.5-inch 720p HD display, 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 1GB of RAM and 8/ 16GB of internal storage. The phone also packs 5MP rear camera, 1.3MP front camera, FM Radio, 2040 mAh battery, dual-SIM support and Android 4.3. The Android 4.4.2 update for Moto G has already been released in the country and is available over-the-air. Moto G is currently only sold at Flipkart.

  1. lost interest , was excited to buy phone as soon as it was launched, but that impulse shopping feeling is gone, will wait till some debit/credit card cashback scheme comes or a better phone comes

  2. Ordered Moto G but as soon as i heard that Moto X is coming to India in few weeks, i cancelled the Moto G. So….MOTO X dude come soon….u will be welcome here…. 🙂
