Motorola seems to be preparing to launch a rugged variant of Moto G in Latin America. The smartphone, which will be dubbed as Moto G Forte, is expected to arrive soon.
The specifics about Moto G Forte are unclear at this point but the phone will most probably keep the same specifications as the normal Moto G and will include water and dust resistance.
Popular leaker @evleaks has shared a promo image of phone, which shows some of the design changes.
There is no word on the pricing or release date of the phone or whether Motorola plans to release the phone in other countries including India. Given the immense popularity of Moto G in India, we expect the company to launch the phone in the country but we can’t be sure until the official announcement.
Moto G Forte will be the first rugged smartphone from the company since the Google-acquisition. In earlier years, Motorola has released some popular rugged smartphones like Motorola Defy.
