Samsung Galaxy S5 introduced in Australia, India unveiling today

Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear devicesSamsung has unveiled its new flagship Galaxy S5 smartphone in Australia earlier today. The smartphone along with the new Gear 2, Gear 2 Neo and Gear Fit wearables will go on sale beginning April 11.

According to Samsung, Galaxy S5 will be sold for A$929 without contract and can be pre-ordered today. All three major telecom operators Telstra, Optus, and Vodafone will be offering the phone. The Gear Fit has been priced at A$249, while Gear 2 and Gear 2 Neo will sell for A$370 and A$249 respectively.

With Australia announcement done, Samsung will be introducing the new phone and Gear devices in India later today. According to a report, the Galaxy S5 is expected to be priced at INR 51,500, which will make it the most expensive phone after the Galaxy Golden in the country,

Showcased at Mobile World Congress last month, Samsung Galaxy S5 comes with features like 5.1-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, 2GB of RAM, Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor, 16GB of internal storage and microSD card slot. The phone also packs 16MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, fingerprint scanner, heart-rate sensor, NFC and the usual connectivity options.
